Some drawings from my childhood back in the mid -70s. How about those sissy bars for inspiration, not to speak of that high-rise king and queen seat? I think I´ll have to work on the rake though ;-)

Berlin
Going to Berlin tomorrow. Just for the weekend.
Anything you know, that I don´t know, that I just have to do or see in Berlin this weekend?

Is that the van of Cheek and Chong..?
I don´t think so. Some serious shit going down on the way home today...

MC-Nytt #7, 1977
This is what I was reading, as a youth, way back in 1977, while listening to Ramones´ "Leave Home". Doing those two thing at the same time was actually a dilemma in those days; beeing interrested in motorcycles AND listening to punkrock was NOT accepted, at least in Gävle, Sweden, where I grew up. You had to choose or get beat up and friendless. I choose punkrock, at least officially (I kept reading motorcycle mags though, but I kept it a secret).
I do not watermark my scans because I think it´s ugly and the pictures aren´t really mine to start with, I just scan them from old mags and publish them. So, feel free to steal and reblog my scans, but please do not put your own watermarks on them, and please remember to tell them where you found them! Thanks!

Husqvarna, Sweden
Really cool Husqvarna racer from 1934. Being a rather small V-twin, it had a displacement of just 350cc (approx 21 cubic inches)

there´s a strong wind today
Dad
That´s my dad behind the bars of what I think is an old Husqvarna, but I´m really not sure (correct me if I´m wrong: Do you recognize the bike?). Picture taken in Sweden, sometime in the mid to late 1930s.
Harley JAP
This is an old favorite of mine. It´s a beautiful old racing Harley with a JAP engine, and you can see it in the Norwegian Museum of Science, Technology and Medicine, in Oslo, Norway. I´ve published it before, on my old blog, but I know I have some new readers, so here it is again:
There is an explanatory text to it:
"Harley-Davidson racing motorcycle. Bjarne Wist from Trondheim was active in the early Norwegian motorsport environment. He was riding the Harley-Davidson motorcycle from 1928 to 1932. In 1929 he won a superb victory with it on Bjerkebanen despite a serious accident. The cylinder of the engine burst, and he finally had to push the bike over the finishing line. Then there was installed a 50 hp JAP engine that is still in the bike."
